The ORI TAHITI WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT will be held at the Atimaono Golf in Papara (TAHITI, FP) on Saturday, January the 30th.The goal is to gather at least 3 000 dancers to beat the record hold by Mexicans who had gathered 1539 dancers in September 5th 2015. They are also preparing for a new record on March to beat ours.
A geometer went to the Golf to delimit the 50 people squares and thus facilitate counting. Makau said that “It’s going very well, the dance schools, the parish, the cities progressively confirm their participation, the Islands also. It has Bora bora, Huahine, Raiatea, Moorea(..) who come. They came in Tahiti to learn the choreography and get back home to teach it. The army is with us too, because we need men. It’s a people business, not groups or dance schools. It’s everybody who comes to show that they are proud to belong to this culture, this is their legacy.”
