The students of the Conservatory of Tahiti have presented their annual show to the public. This show was held at the Islands Museum of Punaauia. More than 600 students for the dance and traditional percussion, ‘orero and himene, percussions and Ukulele were gathered to offer to the all the persons an magnificent show!
The main theme of this year was : ‘The World of flowers’. At the end of the show, the Conservatory also pay tribute to a page of the Polynesian history with a special choreography dedicated to the bicentenary of the Battle of Fei pi or the two kings.
The Minister of the Culture Heremoana Mamaatuaiahutapu was also present for this annual show. He wanted to support the work performed by the teachers and the management team of the artistic Conservatory which also host 1700 students in their 4 departments.
A wonderful show that fits in the great shows of this academy: quality, heart and beauty.
As always, it was a pleasure for everyone to see all the little kids, the teenagers, the adults dancing together with they heart .Traditional dancing is not all to it, the students also learn about the culture, the lyrics of the Tahitian melodies as well as various rhythms created by the local instruments.
