You have until January 31!
The Heiva i Tahiti is an inescapable rendezvous of Polynesian culture. Every year in May, from the many dynamic dance schools to the amateur and confirmed bands and dances that compete on To’ata, it’s the excitement.
The year 2016 was grand and gathered 31 dance schools spread out between the Grand Theater and To’ata; 21 singing groups that clashed on the To’ata stage; 20 dance groups including 11 Hura Ava Tau and 9 in Hura Tau who gave the best of themselves. The competition was rough, and in Hura Tau, Hitireva, and in Hura ava tau dedicated the group Tahiti ia Ruru-tu noa, which thus changes category.
For the 2017 edition, you have until January 31, 2017. The registration form for the Heiva Schools as for the singing or dance competition can be withdrawn at the Maison de la Culture or downloaded below. Warning ! For groups that compete in singing AND dance, you must fill out the two cards.
